Back in December, Anna sent me a DM on Instagram and told me her and Ryan's story and how they wanted to have a portrait session done to capture this beautiful time in their lives. After several weeks of planning, we made this session a reality and I could not be happier with how it turned out.
In June 2018, Anna was diagnosed with Lymphoma and went through months of chemotherapy which resulted in losing her hair. Through the whole process she had such wonderful and strong support from family and friends and Ryan. Anna went through her last chemo treatment in November, and shortly after Ryan planned the most adventurous proposal that Anna wasn't expecting!
Ryan took paint and wrote 'Marry Me?' in his back yard and later asked Anna to go with him and one of his friends to ride on a plane and when they flew over his house, he popped the question - of course she said yes!
Anna wanted to have this special time in their lives captured before her hair grew back out so they could look back and see all that they have over-come together and I thought that was so beautiful. With the help of several people, we were able to come by the local airport in Hazard, KY and use this beautiful place for their engagement photos!
I am so thankful for Anna and Ryan for having me do these portraits of them to celebrate this amazing time in their lives!
